Robin - Norwich Surveyor, Camsure Home Surveys 2024

I would definitely use them again in the future

If I could, I would give 10/5 stars. Camsure Home is a wonderful Homebuyers Survey Company! I've reached out to them mid-December and they organized the survey date to be on the 18th of December, with the Home Report being ready on the 19th. Honestly, I didn't expect anybody would move so close to Xmas but Robin Fletcher went an extra mile on the report: from photographs of places in need of attention to in-detail explanations of why certain things would need to be renovated. The report that I was provided with saved me from buying a seemingly alright house which otherwise would have turned out to be a huge money loss. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Excellent Home Buyers Survey

Gary produced our report and had it to us within 2 days of the viewing. It was very thourough, highlighted things that are easily missed and gave good recommendations.

The sections were so detailed that I get the impression no stone was left unturned and I am very confident after reading his report about the condition of the property.

If you want an excellent survey for a good price I'd highly recommend!

Our certified RICS surveyor in Norwich can provide a comprehensive Homebuyer Report for properties in good condition constructed after 1930.

The report uses a simple "traffic light" system to highlight the condition of the property and its structural integrity.

The report not only assesses the physical condition of the property but also provides valuable advice on legal matters, identifies urgent issues that need immediate attention, suggests potential remedies for defects that could affect the property's value and offers guidance on future maintenance.

For a nominal additional fee, we can also provide a market valuation of your property.

RICS Building Survey

Our detailed Building Survey, formerly known as a Full Structural Survey, is specifically designed for properties built before 1930.

This in-depth assessment goes beyond the Homebuyer Report, providing a more comprehensive evaluation of the property's condition and offering valuable additional advice.

For a reasonable extra cost, you can also request a property value assessment that provides tailored suggestions for addressing any issues, repairs and maintenance requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on how big and complicated the house is.

Usually, an RICS inspection takes 2 hours to a day but bigger houses might take days.

Ask your surveyor when they'll do the inspection and when you'll get their report.

  • Buying a house: Once your offer's accepted. It shows you're serious and speeds things up.
  • Selling your house: It finds any problems that could delay or stop the sale.
  • Worried about repairs?: A Level 2 survey can help you understand your options and fix things before they get worse.

  • England, Wales, NI: You pay if you're buying the house. Sellers can also get one.
  • Scotland: The seller has to get a Home Report for buyers to see.

Depends on what the survey finds.

No problems? Everything keeps going as usual.

Big problems? You might try to renegotiate the price, get the seller to fix things or even pull out of the deal. You might also need other experts to check things, which takes time.

No, it's not required by law in England, Wales or NI, but it's strongly recommended for buyers' peace of mind.

In Scotland, it's required before you can even put the house on the market.
